The Barcol Impressor is portable and therefore suitable for testing the hardness of manufactured parts and individual test specimens for production control purposes.

Any test specimen preparation, conditioning, dimensions, or test parameters or combinations covered in the applicable ASTM material specification will take precedence over those specified in this test method. If there is no relevant ASTM material specification, the default conditions apply.
