This test method covers the testing of industrial yarns made of glass filaments, cords spun from such yarns and fabrics woven from such cords, especially products made for use in the manufacture of pneumatic tires.
By agreement, these test methods can be applied to similar glass yarns and cords used to reinforce other rubber products, and to other industrial applications.
The thread or cord may be wound into cones, tubes, bobbins, reels or beams, woven into cloth, or other forms. These test methods include only test procedures. These test methods do not include specifications or tolerances.
