EUROLAB laboratory provides testing and compliance services within the scope of ASTM D4272 standard. This test method describes the determination of the total energy effect of plastic films by measuring the kinetic energy lost by a free falling dart.
This test method and ISO 7765–2 deal with the same topic, but differ in technical content. The ISO test method requires a direct energy reading using a load cell as part of the impact head, while the test method D4272 requires a constant weight impactor, then measuring the travel time over a certain distance to obtain the energy values.
