EUROLAB laboratory provides testing and compliance services within the scope of DIN 73379 standard. This standard applies to hoses and hose elbows for fuel delivery for internal combustion engines. Specifies dimensions, construction, materials, description, product requirements and testing them.
When the hoses are delivered, they must be dry and free of dirt (fibres, elastomer wear, foreign objects, etc.) on the inner and outer hose surface.
The inner and outer layers must be of equal thickness, concentric and free from visible cracks, pores, foreign debris and other defects.
The inside diameter is to be checked with a cylindrical test chuck. The measuring point must be at least 8 mm away from the hose interface.
Single or stepped mandrels can be used as test chucks. The offset test diameter of the test mandrel must be at least 1 mm long with a gradation of 10/5 mm or 100/10 mm. A deviation of 10% allowed for the test diameter applies to the minimum and maximum inside diameter of the hose.
