ASTM E668 Radiation-Hardness Testing of Electronic Devices - Standard Practice for the Application of Dosimetry (TLD) Systems

Although some elements of the procedures have broader application, of particular interest is radiation hardness testing of electronic devices.

This application applies to the measurement of the absorbed dose in materials irradiated by gamma rays, X-rays and energy electrons of 12 to 60 MeV. Specific energy limits are discussed in the appropriate sections describing the specific applications of the procedures.

In addition, the electron irradiation portion of these procedures is primarily intended for use in part testing. Testing devices as part of larger components such as electronic boards or boxes may require techniques beyond the scope of this application.
