This standard covers the evaluation of the oxidation stability of inhibited steam turbine oils in the presence of oxygen, water and copper and ferrous metals at high temperature.
This test method is limited to a maximum test time of 10.000 hours. This test method is also used for testing other oils such as hydraulic oils and circulating oils that have a lower specific gravity than water and contain rust and oxidation inhibitors.
