This test method describes a steady state technique for determining resistance to thermal conduction (thermal resistance). For homogeneous opaque solid samples, the thermal conductivity can be determined.
This test method is similar in concept to test method C518, but has been modified to accommodate smaller test specimens with higher thermal conductivity. In addition, great care has been taken to minimize the thermal resistance of the contacting surfaces and ensure that it is repeatable.
