ASTM D5265 Standard Test Method for Bridge Impact Test

This test method allows the user to choose between two test options: Option A uses a free fall tester and Option B uses simulated mechanical impact test equipment. The two optional procedures are designed to deliver the same amount of kinetic energy on impact; therefore, each procedure provides equal damage-producing potential.
