In this test method, mono, di and triethylene glycol (MEG, DEG and TEG), alkoxyalkanes (hemiacetals) if present are determined together, while dialkoxyalkanes (acetals) if present are not determined. The results provide a measure of the purity of the sample relative to its total aldehyde content.
