This standard covers UNS S31673 chrome-nickel-moly bdenum forged annealed stainless steel surgical fixative wires. Wires must comply with the required tensile strength and elongation values. Wire surfaces should be machined to minimize tool marks, nicks, scratches, cracks, voids, spurs, and other defects that may impair the usability of the wire.
