EUROLAB laboratory provides testing and compliance service within the scope of ASTM C482 standard. This test method covers determining the bonding ability of glazed ceramic wall tile, ceramic mosaic tile, quarry tile and pavers to portland cement paste.
Test specimens are prepared by gluing tiles to a mortar bed using Portland cement paste. This assembly is allowed to moist cure for 16 to 24 hours, followed by an additional 6 days of curing. After curing is complete, a technician guides the test rig to a tensile testing machine and the sample is loaded with scissors until the tile and mortar bond is broken.
