For this mechanical test, a maximum angle of flexion and a tibial insert rotation (20° internal rotation) around the upper-lower axis should be selected. Worst case creep performance is determined after dynamic loading at 220.000 N for 2.275 cycles.

To evaluate creep performance, the change in clearance between the tibial baseplate and the insert is measured before and after the high flexion fatigue test. In addition, before and after the fatigue test, “AP Tensile Test” and “Rotary Looseness Test” (according to ASTM F1223) are performed and compared with each other.
