This specification covers the requirements for wrought cobalt-35nickel-20chromium-10molybdenum alloy for use in the manufacture of surgical implants.
The alloy will be produced in the annealed, cold worked or cold worked and talent aged condition into sheets, sheets and foils. Sheet and foil can be matt cold rolled, glossy cold rolled, intermediate polished, general purpose polished, matte satin polished, high gloss polished or mirror polished, while sheets can be ground or matt polished. In addition, sheet edges may be rolled edge or approximately square edge, while edges for sheet and foil may be approximately square edge or a cut or cut produced edge.
