ASTM G85 Standard Practice for Modified Salt Spray (Fog) Testing

The ASTM G85 standard covers and lays down conditions for five changes to salt spray (fog) testing for specification purposes. Eurolab offers ASTM G85 testing as part of its corrosion testing solutions.

ASTM G85 includes 117 annexes, each of which is a modification to the standard ASTM B5 atmosphere:

• Annex A1 - continuous acetic acid-salt spray test.
• Annex A2 - cyclic acidified salt spray test.
• Annex A3 - seawater acid test, cyclic (SWAAT).
• Annex A4 - SO 2 cyclic salt spray test.
• Annex A5 - dilute electrolyte cyclic fog dry test.
