The ISO 20344 standard has been designed by the International Standards Organization (ISO) to describe the characteristics and test methods of footwear, which are among personal protective equipment. This standard has been published in our country by the Turkish Standards Institute (TSE) with the following title: TS EN ISO 20344 Personal protective equipment - Test methods for footwear.
This international standard describes methods for testing footwear designed for use as personal protective equipment. This standard takes a more comprehensive approach than other standards that test not only the basic safety features of the shoe, but also the overall performance of the shoe and its components. This standard provides methods for determining and evaluating the safety and protection capabilities of work shoes. In addition, this standard includes descriptions of methods for determining and evaluating shoe comfort.
The test methods included in the standard for all shoes are as follows (Article 5):
5.10 clause of the standard is for determining the electrical resistance of work shoes.
Electric resistance (ISO 20344, §5.10) testing services are also provided by our organization within the framework of foot protection equipment testing services.
