This European standard bears the initials of the country in which the helmet was tested. For example, the helmets tested in Germany have the prefix DIN, the helmets tested in the UK have the prefix BS, and the helmets tested in our country have the prefix TR. The standards published in different countries are the same in terms of content.
The purpose of helmet standards designed for equine activities is to maximize safety in sports. Except where the sports rules determine otherwise, competing drivers must wear a helmet that has been approved with the chin strap always attached.
The purpose of a helmet is to reduce the risk of injury to the skull and part of the head surrounded by the helmet.
