This standard provides general guidance on the climatic testing methods of the AECTP-300. It also defines the general test conditions and associated tolerances used with the AECTP-300's test methods. Its purpose is to provide general guidance and requirements for preparing the Environmental Test Program (contained in the Test Plan or Test Procedures).

The conditions and tolerances of this standard have been set for standardization purposes and are intended to be generally applicable where no specific advice is given. However, where different conditions and tolerances are specified in the applicable test methods of the AECTP-300 or the relevant Environmental Test Specification, they will take precedence over those specified in this document.
