The test is no longer compatible with a dedicated testing machine, but allows the use of any suitable equipment such as electrodynamic or servo-hydraulic shaker tables.
This test is applicable to specimens that may be subjected to dynamic stresses resulting from random shock conditions (bounce) when wheeled vehicles are either unsecured or to some extent freely transported on the load-bearing platform.
