It provides acceptable performance. If a degradation involving hydrochloric acid is required for some elements, the use of Method 3050 is recommended. The abstracts produced by the method are suitable for analysis by flame atomic absorption (FLAA), graphite furnace atomic absorption (GFAA), inductively coupled plasma emission spectroscopy (ICP-ES), and inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS).
