MIL STD 810F Environmental Engineering Program Guidelines Test Standard

This standard includes material purchasing program planning and engineering direction to consider the effects of environmental stresses on material throughout all phases of its service life. It is important to note that this standard does not contain design or test specifications. Instead, it defines the environmental adaptation process that results in realistic material designs and testing methods based on material system performance requirements.

This standard supports the functions of three different groups of personnel involved in the material procurement process. Each of these groups is critical to the goal of successfully incorporating environmental considerations into materials design, testing and evaluation. Although each group has different tasks to perform, none of these tasks can be separated from the others in a successful acquisition program.
