Space Simulation Test

Theoretical models can provide a lot of information about developing or testing a location-only product, and testing in a space simulation room is an important part of the quality assurance process to avoid unexpected problems and verify computer-aided modeling.

Space Simulation Test

EUROLAB is one of the few facilities in the world capable of simulation testing that mimics extreme conditions in the upper atmosphere and outdoors. By precisely controlling temperature, altitude and humidity, it provides a clearer picture of how your product will react, allowing you to make engineering changes that reduce your obligation and simplify your compliance path.

What is Space Simulation Test?

The space simulation test involves the use of a thermal vacuum chamber to replicate conditions in space and in the outer hemisphere. The spacecraft and its components must withstand extreme temperatures and pressure to get out of the Earth's atmosphere. The thermal vacuum test has a long history. Our lab uses space simulation testing to reduce the risk of crew and non-crew spaceflight.

During the space simulation test, we work with three main parameters: high vacuum, cold field and infrared solar radiation. High temperature and vacuum levels increase the reactions of trapped gases. With increased degassing as one of the main causes of product failures in the air purge industry, these test programs predict failure in field use. In our facility accredited by the American Laboratory Accreditation Association (A2LA), we can test specifications that include:

  • MIL-STD-202
  • MIL-STD-810
  • RTCA/DO-160

Military and aviation test specifications ensure product compatibility and functionality across all industries. Our accurate field conditions simulations provide a high degree of reliability and confidence in our results. We also work with marine and defense contractors who want to meet high product standards.

EUROLAB is highly experienced in testing critical systems, subassemblies and components in the latest space simulation rooms. We use the TV-25 test system in thermal vacuum testing. This facility includes two control rooms and two adjacent clean rooms for optimum control and safe operation. Our Class 10000 clean room has degassing components and a cooking chamber that cleans moisture before testing. TV-25, one of our largest test areas, has the capacity to test a wide variety of equipment and systems.

Extreme Environmental Simulation for Space Simulation Test

OLUROLAB leads the industry in environmental tests related to spacecraft, hardware and satellite technology. Our team can design special rooms and fixtures to simulate all space-related conditions. We use these customized devices to test mechanical and electronic devices, including composite antennas, batteries, and solar panels.

Environmental tests ensure that our customers' performance lives collect products early in their life cycle. Our customers prepare their products for use in the real world by detecting possible errors in the early stages of development. Our decades of experience in space conditions enable us to predict performance in various environments. With one of the highest levels of accuracy in the industry, we can set you apart from your competitors and maximize product safety.

Our space simulation rooms repeat the conditions demanded by a wide variety of test programs. They combine the required humidity, temperature and altitude for accurate assessment. Test chambers for copper chloride, sulfur dioxide (SO2) and salt fog can be up to 6 x 10 x 8 ′. Thermal vacuum chambers have combined ambient pressures of 1 × 10-8 TORR and extreme temperatures between -320 ° F and 1000 ° F. One of our explosive atmosphere rooms can compare temperatures to -320 ° F and 100.000 ′.

Engineering and Evaluation

Our advanced testing capabilities have gained the privilege of participating in every major aviation project that has been carried out since the beginning of technology. Our team conducts R&D, testing and system evaluations for important field organizations. We work with various tools, planes, components, and systems to run test programs such as:

  • Dynamic response
  • Modal analysis
  • Acoustic intensity
  • Severe environment
  • Hazardous flow
  • Hydraulic and electronic system evaluation

Testing in critical industries such as aviation and military is at the heart of our company. Our engineering and evaluation team can perform additional test types for your product or project on request. Thanks to our solid, multidisciplinary experience, we can adapt our services to your specifications.

In addition to testing, we can provide end-to-end product lifecycle support. We have the ability to inspect your materials and products at every stage of development. Our resource controls, supplier development, and product and process control ensure you have a harmonious and functional creation.

Compliance With Legislation

Space simulation facilities are ISO / IEC 17025 accredited by the American Laboratory Accreditation Association to provide environmental, dynamic and thermal tests. Whether you're a government contractor or a private space agency, we can ensure that all necessary tests are done to the appropriate standards. For international customers, we can help with pre-compliance management, which helps you bring your products to foreign markets with minimal investment in additional testing.

Whatever you need to do for due diligence and QA, our simulated test environments give you full control over a wide variety of variables. Our engineering experts will work with your team to develop the best test sequence. Using advanced data capture tools, we can produce measurable results that show compatibility or offer you a roadmap to refine your product.
