The registration of pesticide products such as pesticides, herbicides and fungicides includes the operator's exposure and risk assessment, which determines the need for personal protective equipment. Laboratory data is usually obtained from accelerated tests to distinguish between different performance levels; therefore laboratory data cannot be used for direct comparison with field data to determine acceptable mitigation factors.
