There are different requirements that need to be verified for each battery model:
Packing of batteries should be packed in inner packaging that completely encloses the cell or battery, unless installed in equipment. Batteries and batteries shall be protected to prevent short circuits. This includes protection against contact with any conductive material in the same packaging that could cause a short circuit.
Lithium-Ion batteries are classified as an article and are not dangerous when operated according to the manufacturer's recommendations. When used in accordance with recommendations, electrode materials and liquid electrolyte are non-reactive provided the cell housing and seals remain intact. Battery cells are designed to withstand the temperatures and pressures encountered during normal use. As a result, there is no danger of physical ignition, explosion, or leakage of hazardous materials during normal use. The potential for exposure should not exist unless the battery has leaked, been exposed to high temperatures, or has been mechanically, electrically or physically abused or damaged.
Lithium batteries should always be used according to the manufacturer's specifications. This is especially true for complying with the limits for maximum current load, charge and endpoint voltages, as well as mechanical and thermal loads.
Usually, product packages are marketed as pre-matched. Such products should not be modified or tampered with, as this could result in significant safety hazards. Use only the charging process of a rechargeable battery suitable for the respective cell type.
