According to this standard, cables are designed to operate in the operating temperature range between -40°C and +70°C and at frequencies between 5 MHz and 1 000 MHz.

It is assumed that increasing the temperature of the inner conductor does not affect the mechanical and electrical properties of the cable when exposed to maximum current under nominal ambient conditions.
