These transmitters and lasers are designed as a braided 14-pin butterfly package with a thermo-electric cooler.
The modulator integrated laser diode transmitter described in this section of IEC EN 62148 is classified as Type 62148 according to the definitions of IEC EN 1-3.
All optical fibers defined in IEC EN 60793-2 50 are applicable. All optical connectors defined in the IEC EN 60874 series are applicable where a pigtail is to be terminated with an optical connector. The electrical interface in this standard defines only the basic functionality of each pin.
