  • 0,6/1 kV unshielded, unsheathed (1 mm2 to 400 mm2);
  • 1,8/3 kV unshielded, unsheathed (1,5 mm2 to 400 mm2);
  • 1,8/3 kV unshielded, sheathed (1,5 mm2 to 400 mm2);
  • 3,6/6 kV unshielded, sheathed (2,5 mm2 to 400 mm2).

Information on the selection and installation of cables, including current values, can be found in EN 50355 (User manual) and EN 50343 (Cable installation rules). The procedure for selecting the cable cross-sectional area, including the reduction factors for the ambient temperature and installation type, is described in EN 50343.

All cables have class 60228 tinned copper conductors, halogen-free insulation and halogen-free sheath according to EN 5. They are for use in railway cars as fixed wiring or as wiring that encounters limited flexing during operation. The requirements provide for a continuous conductor temperature not exceeding 90°C and a maximum temperature for short-circuit conditions of 5°C based on a 200 second period. In fire conditions, cables exhibit special performance characteristics in terms of maximum allowable flame spread (flame spread) and maximum allowable smoke and toxic gas emission.

Unless otherwise stated, the core insulation of all cables will be black. If a color other than black is specified, it will be a color suitable for HD 308. The color will be on the entire or surface of the insulation. The cable shall comply with the applicable general requirements given in EN 50264-1 and the special requirements of this section.
