The attention of National Committees is drawn to the fact that equipment manufacturers and testing organizations may need a transitional period following the publication of a new, modified or revised IEC publication, during which they will manufacture products that meet new requirements and equip themselves for new processes. It is the committee's recommendation that the content of this publication be implemented nationally within 12 months at the latest or 36 months at the latest from the date of publication.
