This international standard deals with the immunity requirements of equipment.

IEC 61000-4-8 Power Frequency Magnetic Field Immunity and Electromagnetic Compatibility Test Standard

This standard does not consider disturbances in cables or other parts of the field installation resulting from capacitive or inductive coupling.
Other IEC standards on conducted disturbances cover these issues.

Industrial plants and power plants;
Medium voltage and high voltage substations;

The purpose of this standard is to establish a common and repeatable basis for evaluating the performance of electrical and electronic equipment for household, commercial and industrial applications when exposed to magnetic fields at power frequency (continuous and short-term field).

IEC 61000-4-8 Standard Requirements:

Recommended test levels;
Test equipment;
Test setup;
Test procedure.

Other types of magnetic fields will be the object of standardization:
Fields at other power frequencies (16 2/3 - 20 or 30 - 400 Hz);
Harmonic current fields (100 Hz to 2000 Hz);
Higher frequency areas (up to 150 kHz, eg for grid signaling systems);
DC fields.
