ISO 26262-7 Road Vehicles - Testing for Production and Operation

EUROLAB, with its state-of-the-art accredited laboratories and expert team, provides precise and fast testing services within the scope of ISO 26262-7 testing. ISO 26262 is intended to apply to safety-related systems fitted to mass-production passenger cars up to a maximum gross vehicle mass of 3500 kg, incorporating one or more electrical or electronic (E/E) systems. ISO 26262 does not address unique E/E systems in special purpose vehicles such as vehicles designed for disabled drivers.

Excludes systems and components released for production prior to the publication date of ISO 26262 or systems and components currently in development. For further development or modification based on systems and components released for production prior to ISO 26262 issuance, only modifications will be developed in accordance with ISO 26262.

ISO 26262 addresses potential hazards arising from the malfunctioning behavior of E/E security-related systems, including the interaction of these systems. It does not address hazards related to electric shock, fire, smoke, heat, radiation, toxicity, flammability, reactivity, corrosion, energy release, and similar hazards, unless directly caused by malfunctioning behavior of E/E safety-related systems.

ISO 26262 does not address the rated performance of E/E systems, even if specific functional performance standards exist for these systems (eg active and passive safety systems, braking systems, Adaptive Cruise Control).
