EUROLAB laboratory provides testing and compliance services within the scope of EN 50483-1 standard. The EN 50483 series is applicable to overhead line fixtures for tensioning, supporting and connecting antenna bundle cables (ABC) with rated voltage U0/U (Um): 0,6/1 (1,2) kV.
The purpose is to provide a method for testing the suitability of accessories when used under normal operating conditions with low voltage antenna bundle cables (ABC) compatible with the HD 626. There are differences between the tests performed with the different ABC features provided by the HD 626.
In one of the ABC types it may not be fully applicable to the ABC of a different specification. Therefore, buyers of accessories tested according to this European standard should make sure that all their requirements are met.
This European standard does not override existing approvals of products obtained on the basis of national standards and specifications or demonstration of satisfactory service performance. However, products approved to such national standards or specifications cannot directly seek approval for this European standard.
Subject to agreement between the supplier and the purchaser or the relevant conformity assessment body, it may be possible to demonstrate that conformity to the previous standard can be used to claim conformity to this standard, provided that an assessment of any additional type testing is carried out.
Such additional tests that are part of a test sequence cannot be performed separately. The climate differs in Europe and to meet different geographical climatic conditions it is necessary to provide a range of tests to accommodate these variations. A number of optional, additional tests are provided to meet changing climate needs and must be agreed between the customer and supplier.
