EN 50483-2 Low Voltage Antenna Bundled Cable Accessories, Part 2: Test Standard for Tension and Hanging Clamps for Self Supporting System

EUROLAB laboratory provides testing and compliance services within the scope of EN 50483-2 standard. The EN 50483 series is applicable to overhead line fixtures for tensioning, supporting and connecting antenna bundle cables (ABC) with rated voltage U0/U (Um): 0,6/1 (1,2) kV.

This section 2 applies to tensioning devices consisting of tensioning and suspension clamps designed to be used for mounting the self-supporting ABC described in HD 626. The tests described in this document are type tests.

This European standard does not invalidate existing approvals or demonstration of satisfactory service performance of products obtained on the basis of national standards and specifications. However, products approved to such national standards or specifications cannot directly seek approval for this European standard.

It may be possible, subject to agreement between the supplier and the purchaser or the relevant conformity assessment body, to demonstrate that conformity to the previous standard can be used to claim conformity to this standard provided an assessment of any additional type testing that may be required is carried out. Such additional tests that are part of a test sequence cannot be performed separately.
