Measurements can be made with direct current or alternating current. For ac measurements, the frequency should not exceed 2 kHz. In case of dispute, dc measurements will prevail.

Care must be taken during measurement to avoid applying abnormal pressure to the tested contacts and movement of the test leads. In cases where the connection points specified in the detail specification cannot be reached directly, the resistance of the cable or wire used should be subtracted from the measured value. The corrected value will be saved.

The value of the contact resistance must not exceed the value specified in the specific specification for each measurement. The DC contact resistance measurement should be the average of the two values ​​obtained with the DC current in one direction and in the opposite direction.
