This standard applies to multimedia equipment (MME) whose rated AC or DC supply voltage does not exceed 600 V. MME with receiving functionality is covered by this document. Non-broadcast wireless interfaces with the MME are also covered by this document, but this document does not require an evaluation of the performance of these interfaces.
EN 55035 Test Purpose
Establishing requirements that provide sufficient intrinsic immunity so that the MME will operate as intended in its environment in the frequency range of 0 kHz to 400 GHz;
Establishing procedures to ensure repeatability of tests and reproducibility of results.
Due to the technology convergence of MME's functions, the performance criteria are not equipment-oriented, but function-oriented.
This document contains MME's immunoassay requirements, including selection of applicable tests, levels of degradation to be applied during testing, configuration, performance criteria, and other necessary details.
