EIA 512 is made by the method of using the equivalent electrical grid approaching the input/impedance characteristic of a crystal unit in a relatively narrow frequency range near an isolated vibration mode at a given excitation level.
The standard provides a method for measuring these parameters using a test fixture and a frequency analyzer and allows for measuring and controlling environmental factors that can affect the accuracy of measurements.
