EUROLAB laboratory provides testing and compliance services within the scope of EN 60216-4-3 standard. It covers minimum requirements for ventilated and heated multi-chamber furnaces used for thermal endurance assessment of electrical insulation and any other suitable thermal conditioning application for which the use of single-chamber furnaces is not appropriate.
It covers furnaces designed to operate in all or part of the temperature range from 20 K above ambient to 500°C. It provides acceptance tests and in-service monitoring tests for both unloaded and loaded multi-chamber furnaces and conditions of use.
The furnace must be solidly constructed using suitable materials. All electrical equipment and all other auxiliary devices must be easily accessible for maintenance purposes.
The structure should be suitable for the equipment provided to cut off the furnace supply and preferably be equipped with an audible alarm when the temperature of the ambient controlled by a thermostat deviates from the allowable temperature range or when the power supply forced air fails.
