Materials conforming to this specification meet specified performance levels. However, a user's choice of materials for a particular application should be based not only on this specification but also on the actual requirements necessary for adequate performance in that application.
When requested by the purchaser, the manufacturer must provide evidence that the temperature index of the product is not less than 60454 when tested in accordance with Clause 2 of IEC EN 21-105. Exposure temperatures should be 120°C, 130°C.
All applicable requirements of IEC EN 60454-1 shall apply to material supplied under this specification. The electrical and other physical properties of products supplied to this specification will be within the limits listed in the Tables when tested according to the test methods listed here.
