The purpose of this standard is to detail a standard test method for evaluating the mechanical operating durability of connectors in normal operating mode without electrical load.
The sample must be subjected to a mechanical operating endurance test (without electrical charge) according to the requirements of the specific specification. The sample should be run normally. The frequency, number and speed of the maneuvers must be in accordance with the requirements of the detail specification.
The use of mechanical devices to simulate normal operation is permitted, provided they do not create abnormal voltages, unless the specific specification prohibits it.
