IEC EN 60684-3-247 provides two types of requirements for a flame retardant-free, double-walled, heat-shrinkable, polyolefin sheath with a nominal shrinkage rate. This sleeve has been found to be suitable for use at temperatures up to 100°C.
The purpose of this standard is to define the requirements and specifications for heat-shrinkable polyolefin sleeves with double-wall construction. It is not flame retardant, thick and medium wall options are available. These properties are important to ensure that the sleeve meets the necessary criteria for electrical insulation, mechanical protection and heat resistance.
