EUROLAB, with its state-of-the-art accredited laboratories and expert team, provides precise and fast testing services within the scope of IEC EN 61207-6 testing. IEC EN 61207-6 applies to all aspects of analyzers using photometric techniques for the measurement of the concentration of one or more components in a gas or vapor mixture. It should be used in conjunction with IEC EN 61207-1.
It states the following:
Photometric analyzers use detectors that respond to wavelengths in the ultraviolet, visible and infrared portion of the electromagnetic spectrum in the 0,1 µm to 50 µm wavelength range.
In this range of wavelengths, many gases have absorption or emission bands. Analyzers designed to use these bands use a variety of techniques, including detecting specific radiation absorbed by the sample gas or radiation emitted from the gas sample after artificial stimulation. The volume of gas being measured may be in a sample cell and this sample may or may not be conditioned, or (for in situ analyzers) the concentration may be measured directly in the sample gas itself.
