Measurements should be made after sufficient warm-up time for DUT. The measurement of the DUT should be made at steady state of the LED junction temperature as specified in IEC EN 62595-2-1.
The colorimeter (a spot meter or a viewing meter) shall conform to CIE 1931 tristimulus values and be equipped with a camera lens and viewfinder. Equipment must be calibrated to specific standards. The colorimeter can be used as an alumina meter. It should not be used to measure absolute color quantities, but can be used to measure relative quantities such as color uniformity.
Orthogonal three-axis stages must be used to set the measuring points of the DUT. A biaxial goniometer should be used to set the measurement direction (zenith angle and azimuth angle) of the DUT. The positioning accuracy of these devices shall be sufficient to provide the specified repeatability.
