EN 50399 Common Test Methods for Cables in Fire Conditions

The test provides data for the early stages of a cable fire caused by the cables igniting. It addresses the danger of flames propagating along the cable, measuring the rate of heat release, the potential for fire to affect areas adjacent to the exit chamber, and the production of smoke that blocks light.
