IEC EN 60745-2-17 deals with the safety of routers and rectifiers whose rated voltage is not more than 250 V for single-phase AC or DC appliances and 440 V for three-phase AC appliances. If any router permitted to be mounted in the router table is equipped with a momentary ignition switch, a device must be provided in the router table to lock the momentary switch of the router in the "on" position. This device will be disabled when the router is removed from its work stand.
