EN 61347-2-13 Lamp Controller - Part 2-13: Special Requirements for DC or AC Powered Electronic Controller for LED Modules

EUROLAB laboratory provides testing and compliance services within the scope of EN 61347-2-13 standard. This part of standard 61347 specifies special safety requirements for electronic control gear for use on dc or ac supplies up to 1000 V (ac at 50 Hz or 60 Hz) and at an output frequency that may deviate from the supply frequency.

The control assembly for LED modules specified in this standard is designed to provide a constant voltage or current at SELV or higher voltages. Deviations from pure voltage and current types do not exclude the gear from this standard.

This second edition of EN 61347-2-13 was published together with EN 61347-1. Formatting separately published chapters facilitates future changes and revisions. Additional requirements will be added as needed and accepted.

This standard and the parts constituting EN 61347-2 refer to any of the clauses of EN 61347-1, specifying the extent to which such a clause is applicable and the order in which the tests are to be carried out; they also include additional requirements as needed. All parts that make up EN 61347-2 are independent and therefore do not contain references to each other.

It is understood that the appendices of IEC 61347-1 that are valid according to this Section 2-13 and that use the word "lamp" also include LED modules. Special requirements are given for the SELV control hardware. Performance requirements are covered by IEC 62384. The plug-in control gear, which is part of the fixture, is covered by the additional requirements of the fixture standard as built-in control gear.
