The purpose of this standard is to adequately specify the physical requirements for an optical transceiver to enable mechanical interchangeability of transceivers to this document, both on the printed circuit board and for any panel mounting requirement.
Applicable if all optical connectors defined in IEC EN 60874 (all parts) and IEC EN 61754 (all parts) are terminated with a braided optical connector.
