BS 62016 Standard Test Method for Core Model of Electronic Field

EUROLAB, with its state-of-the-art accredited laboratories and expert team, provides precise and fast testing services within the scope of BS 62016 testing. This International Standard provides semantic definitions for the following categories of information related to electronic circuit designs. Each category of design information is modeled as an EXPRESS schema.

BS 62016 Standard Test Method for Core Model of Electronic Field

  • The hierarchy_model schema describes the hierarchical information of a cell, that is, how a cell can be divided into other cells;

A circuit can be divided into cells, which cells can be divided into other cells, thus creating a hierarchy. Hierarchy information cells identify possible cell representations and instances.

  • the design hierarchy model diagram describes the grade in the formation hierarchy;

The definition of a design requires the selection of specific representations (views) of the design objects in the hierarchy. This creates a clearly structured design hierarchy. This concept is similar to the configuration of a design in VHDL and relates to the appearance selection mechanisms of other electronic design domain information models in the industry. The design hierarchy defines the top-level design cells and can provide design-specific data annotated to the detailed hierarchy.

  • The link_structure_model schema describes a cell's link information;

This describes how circuits are connected so that information or energy can flow from one part of a design or product to another. The Core Model subdivides this information.

  • The logical_connection_model schema describing connectivity for a given hierarchy level;

Logical connection information describes the bit level, abstract electrical connection for a given hierarchy level, in terms of signals and signal groups.

  • A schema of link_structure_model describing the structural connectivity of a connectivity view;

Structural link information describes the link from the structural point of view for a given hierarchy level. Structural connectivity is specified in terms of buses, networks and disassemblers. Such a structural representation is used to provide support for physical implementation and annotation.

The names of the objects used in this Core Model standard have been chosen to match, wherever possible, the names of similar objects and concepts in existing electronic field information models.
