EN 50643 Standard Test for Measurement of Networked Standby Power Consumption of Electrical and Electronic Home and Office Equipment, End Equipment

Standby power consumption (other than networked standby) is covered by EN 50564, including the input voltage range. This European standard also provides a method for testing power management and whether it is possible to disable wireless network connections.

This standard applies to electrical products with a nominal input voltage of 230 V ac for single-phase products and 400 V ac for three-phase products.

The measurement of energy consumption and performance of products during their intended use is usually specified in product standards and is not covered by this standard. The term "products" in this standard includes household appliances or information technology products, consumer electronics, audio, video and multimedia systems; however, the measurement methodology can be applied to other products as well.
