This specification covers both single and multi-channel filters installed in a single housing or on a printed circuit board forming a compact entity. This specification applies to passive filter units.
This specification applies to passive filter units for electromagnetic interference suppression for which safety tests are met. This means that filters specified in this specification will be connected to mains supplies when compliance with mandatory testing is required, or used in other circuit locations where the equipment specification specifies that some or all of these safety tests are required.
