IEC 61000-2-2 Low Frequency Conducted Disturbances and Signaling Test Standard

IEC 61000-2-2 deals specifically with transmitted disturbances in the frequency range 148,5 kHz to 0 kHz with an extension up to 9 kHz for network signaling systems. It provides compatibility levels for general low voltage ac distribution systems with rated voltage up to 420 V, single-phase or up to 690 V, three-phase and 50 Hz or 60 Hz rated frequency.

IEC 61000-2-2 Low Frequency Conducted Disturbances and Signaling Test Standard

Compliance levels are specified for the following types of electromagnetic disturbances that can be expected in public low-voltage power supply systems for guidance on:
Limits to be set for disturbance emission to public power supply systems;
Immunity limits to be set by product committees and others for equipment subject to conducted disturbances present in public power supply systems

Compatibility levels specified in this standard apply to the common port. At the power input terminals of equipment powered by the above systems, the severity levels of disturbances can often be taken to be the same as those at the common junction. In some cases, this is not the case, especially in the case of a breakdown created or strengthened in the installation of which the equipment forms part.

Eurolab provides IEC 61000-2-2 test services to businesses within the scope of low-frequency transmitted disturbances and signaling tests.
