FT4 IEEE 1202 IEEE Standard for Flame Testing of Cables Used in Cable Tray in Industrial and Commercial Workplaces

A cable passes the vertical tray test if the cable character height is less than 4 feet, 11 inches. A wire may continue to burn after the burner is turned off; however, the test is not complete until the cable stops burning. The FT4/IEEE 1202 also includes an optional smoke test.
