EUROLAB, with its state-of-the-art accredited laboratories and expert team, provides precise and fast testing services within the scope of IEC EN 60675 testing. Applies to electric direct-acting room heaters. They can be portable, stationary, stationary or built-in. Defines the main performance characteristics and methods of measuring these characteristics. For thermal storage room heaters, see IEC 60531.
Does not apply to:
Measurements are made using fine-wire thermocouples not exceeding 15 mm in diameter, fitted behind small blackened copper or brass discs 1 mm in diameter and 0,3 mm thick. The front of the discs is flush with the surface of the card. Thermocouples are positioned to measure the highest temperature rise of each surface.
The temperature inside the test chamber is measured for three different energy ratios obtained by varying the temperature in the cooling chamber without changing the setting of the ambient temperature thermostat. Measurements are made when the average room temperature remains constant for five consecutive fluctuations or 2 hours, whichever is shorter.
If there are more than two heaters in a family at the capacity of the climate test room, only the heater with the lowest rated power input and the heater with the highest rated power input need to be tested. For heaters with an intermediate rated power input, the amplitude and slip are calculated by interpolating the values found for the two heaters tested.
